What video formats can I convert?

dShift supports conversion between MP4 (H.264), MOV, MXF and other common video containers. Output is always in a web-compatible format.

Do I need to install any software?

No. dShift runs entirely in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly. No downloads, no extensions required.

Will the video quality change after conversion?

The converter uses high-quality settings by default. There may be minimal quality loss due to re-encoding, but it is barely perceptible.

Is my video kept private?

Yes. All conversion happens locally on your device. Your video files are never uploaded or stored anywhere.
