dShift generates a .ico file plus PNG favicons at 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 180×180 (Apple Touch Icon) and 256×256 pixels — everything you need to support all browsers and devices.
What image should I use as input?
Use a square image (1:1 ratio) for best results. SVG, PNG and JPG are all accepted. The minimum recommended input size is 256×256 pixels.
How do I add the favicon to my website?
Place the generated files in your website's root directory and add the appropriate <link> tags in your HTML <head>. dShift's output follows the standard naming convention.
Can I use a logo as a favicon?
