What formats can I convert to GIF?

MP4 and MOV files work best for GIF conversion. dShift uses FFmpeg to generate optimised palette GIFs with accurate colours.

Can I choose the GIF duration?

dShift converts the full video clip you provide. Trim your video to the desired segment before uploading for best results.

Why are GIF files so large?

GIF uses a palette-based compression. A 10-second clip at 480p can easily reach 15–30MB. For smaller files, consider MP4 instead.

Is there a watermark on the GIF output?

Never. dShift does not add watermarks to any output, including GIF exports.
